Bryan Danielson Reveals Plans For His Part-Time Schedule

Bryan Danielson has shed light on his forthcoming part-time schedule

Bryan Danielson has made no secret of the fact that his run as a full-time wrestler is coming to an end, with the multi-time world champion having promised his daughter that he’d go part-time after her upcoming seventh birthday.

Danielson has taken on greater responsibilities backstage in All Elite Wrestling, with AEW President Tony Khan saying that if the worst were to happen to him then he’d want Danielson to run the company. As for his in-ring future, ‘The American Dragon’ told Tokyo Sports that part-time life would see him wrestle five-to-ten times a year.

The former ROH World Champion lost to Kazuchika Okada at Wrestle Kingdom 18 on January 4, with Danielson expected to return to AEW imminently. Although Danielson had earlier stated that he intends to go part-time this Summer, he did mention to Tokyo Sports that he’d like to face NJPW talents Hiroshi Tanahashi, El Desperado, Shingo Takagi, and Tomohiro Ishii.

Danielson’s AEW run has been hampered by injuries, with Danielson suffering a broken forearm during his first bout against Okada at Forbidden Door 2023, and later suffering a broken orbital bone during a bout with Andrade el Idolo later in the year.
