Tag Team Reunites On AEW Dynamite

AEW Dynamite saw a long awaited tag team reunion

A long awaited tag team reunion took place on the January 3 episode of AEW Dynamite.

After Orange Cassidy successfully defended his International Championship against Dante Martin, the two men were joined by their respective faction mates in Danhausen, HOOK, Darius Martin, and Action Andretti. As the two sides stared each other down, the red rope was undone as Private Party made their way to the ring, with Marq Quen making his first appearance in AEW since November 2022.

Quen and partner Isiah Kassidy put the tag division on notice, naming FTR, The Young Bucks, and former allies The Hardys as opponents they are coming for, before stating they will win the AEW World Tag Team Titles. Quen's return had been a topic of discussion in late 2023.

The team last competed on an episode of Rampage in November 2022, losing to the team of Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal, with Quen written off with a shoulder injury. During Quen’s absence, Kassidy teamed with Matt and Jeff Hardy as Brother Zay, earning a degree of notoriety for his ‘passionate’ utterings on the mic.

Private Party have been a part of AEW since the company's inception, with the team earning a memorable win over The Young Bucks on the second-ever episode of Dynamite in 2019.
