Bryan Danielson Reveals Why He Brought Back The 'Yes' Chants Again At AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door

Bryan Danielson on the 'Yes' chants at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door

Bryan Danielson has seldom engaged with the 'Yes!' chants since he signed with All Elite Wrestling in September 2021, only using them to get the crowd behind him during the closing minutes of his Iron Man Match with MJF at Revolution 2023.

Danielson did encourage the 'Yes!' chants again at Forbidden Door and The American Dragon has revealed the spot wasn't planned and he only brought them back in the spur of the moment.

"Tonight was spur of the moment, only because I was incapable of doing some of the things that I would have liked to do. I thought, 'Okay, how do we bring the fans up? Oh, here is an easy solution.' The Max match was a choice. It was the one time I was going to do it. Tonight was because I needed to do something," Danielson said at the post-Forbidden Door media scrum.

The former ROH World Champion faced Kazuchika Okada in the main event of Forbidden Door. Danielson would win the match but he was hampered during the final 10 minutes, having suffered a fractured forearm. Danielson's wife Brie Garcia has since revealed the injury is worse than expected meaning Danielson could miss AEW All In.
