Bryan Danielson Says Kofi Kingston Beating Him Was The Best Part Of His WWE Career

Bryan Danielson Revealed That His Favourite WWE Moment Was When Kofi Kingston Beat Him For The WWE Championship

Bryan Danielson had a storied career in WWE, with countless great moments over the decade-plus stint he had in the company. Danielson won multiple world titles, main evented WrestleMania twice, and had one of the most legendary babyfaces rises in professional wrestling history. However, none of those successes were his favourite when it comes to his WWE moments.

In 2019, Danielson was reigning as the “Planet’s Champion”, with the WWE Championship around his waist. He entered a feud with Kofi Kingston, with fans rallying behind the “KofiMania” craze which led to his surprise push to the main event scene. At WrestleMania 35, Danielson and Kingston had one of the best matches of the night, and it ended with Kingston reigning supreme after a fantastic battle.

In an interview with The Ringer, Danielson detailed as to why this moment and feud was the best part of his WWE career:

"To me, the whole thing was magic. And you look at the live events, like the number of shows that he did for WWE, the amount of TV time that he filled in every time, going out there and always having a positive attitude and all that kind of stuff. What a great human being, you know what I mean? Like I said, it was my favorite match. I think the whole thing was my favorite part of my WWE career.”

Danielson did go on to say how demoralising it was to see Kofi lose the WWE Championship in the manner that he did, getting squashed by Brock Lesnar in under 10 seconds. Either way, he still holds WrestleMania 35 close to his heart.
