Bryan Danielson Vs. Minoru Suzuki Announced For October 15 AEW Rampage Buy-In Show

A stacked Buy-In card up against WWE SmackDown

All Elite Wrestling have announced a huge match between Bryan Danielson and Minoru Suzuki will take place on the October 15 AEW Rampage Buy-In show.

AEW President Tony Khan made the announcement on his social media pages that a special buy-in show, ahead of this week's AEW Rampage, will air for free on the AEW YouTube Channel. The show will be live from 9pm ET (2am UK time) ahead of Rampage going on air at 10pm ET.

The buy-in show, according to Khan, will be opened by a match between Danielson and Suzuki.

The two men have only met in one-on-one action once before, squaring off at a July 2004 New Japan Summer Struggle event, with Suzuki picking up the win. The duo also worked against each other in a number of tag team matches that year.

Also confirmed for the Buy-In show is Bobby Fish versus Lee Moriarty, while the actual AEW Rampage card itself will see CM Punk take on Matt Sydal while Inner Circle members Chris Jericho, Jake Hader and Sammy Guevara team up to face Ethan Page, Scorpio Sky and Junior Dos Santo.

This week's AEW Rampage will see the first half-an-hour go head-to-head for ratings with a supersized WWE Friday Night SmackDown. The stacked Buy-In show could therefore be seen as a tactic to lure viewers away from WWE's blue brand earlier in the evening.
