Bryan Danielson Vs. Zack Sabre Jr. Set For AEW WrestleDream
Bryan Danielson will have a dream match at WrestleDream
The first match for AEW’s brand-new WrestleDream PPV event has been set, and living up to the name, it is in fact a “dream match”. In a bout that was cancelled last year at the first AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door event, Bryan Danielson will finally go one-on-one with Zack Sabre Jr.
On Collision last night, Danielson cut a promo in which he explained that this could well be the last year of his career after a promise made to his daughter, so he is set on making it memorable with dream matches and such. He took issue with Zack Sabre Jr. calling himself the best technical wrestler in the world, and issued a challenge for the NJPW World TV Champion.
The show will take place in Danielson's home state, so it makes sense for him to be in a big match. It is the first bout announced for the show, which will take place on October 1st - the one year anniversary of the death of Antonio Inoki.
