Bully Ray Believes Jack Perry Could Become Top Heel In AEW

Bully Ray thinks Jack Perry could become AEW’s top heel

Jack Perry’s return to professional wrestling at New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Battle in the Valley event on January 13 was certainly eye catching, with the controversial Perry attacking Shota Umino before ripping up his All Elite Wrestling contract.

Perry has yet to show back up in AEW since his backstage fight with CM Punk at All In in August 2023, and on Busted Open Radio, Bully Ray opined that the former Jungle Boy could become the top heel in AEW although they have to build upon his current level of heat:

"The jury is still out with me as to why they decided to have him show up in New Japan and do this, I'm sure there's a plan. I'm not making a judgment call based on just one thing that I saw,” said Bully, before turning his attention to the contract ripping:

"Can he be hated? He ripped up a contract, ripping up a contract is very symbolic about how he feels about AEW right now, but you can't just rip up a contract and suddenly it's null and void; he still has a contract with AEW."

Bully Ray certainly knows how to get heat, with the tag legend causing new riots in ECW, and eventually becoming the top heel in all of TNA Wrestling as the leader of Aces & Eights.
