Jack Perry Shows Up In NJPW, Rips Up AEW Contract

Jack Perry made a big statement in NJPW

NJPW held their Battle In The Valley 2024 event last night, and it was a night full of big moments, major matches, and even some surprises, the biggest of which saw AEW’s Jack Perry make an unexpected appearance and debut.

Following the opening match in which Shota Umino, Jacob Fatu, & Fred Rosser defeated Tom Lawler, Jorel Nelson, and Royce Isaacs, Umino was shaking hands and acknowledging the crowd at ringside. He was then attacked by a masked “fan”, who jumped the guardrail and issued an assault on Umino. The man unmasked to reveal himself to be Jack Perry.

Perry hasn’t been seen in any capacity ever since the alleged backstage brawl at AEW All In London 2023 in August with CM Punk, which was sparked by Perry’s comments into the camera about using “real glass”, making reference to a disagreement between the pair. This led to a suspension for Perry, and he hasn’t been back on AEW programming ever since. Following his attack on Umino, Perry showed off a “scapegoat” armband to the camera, and held up his AEW contract in the air before ripping it up. It isn’t currently known whether he will be in NJPW for the foreseeable future or whether this is an angle that will make its way to AEW TV.
