NJPW followed up on a strong Wrestle Kingdom 18 event two weeks ago with another big show in Battle In The Valley, which was a night that had surprises, big matches, and noteworthy moments. 

Coming out of the event, some of the more notable points include Will Ospreay losing in his final NJPW match, taking on Kazuchika Okada in the main event. Ospreay is of course heading for AEW following the end of his NJPW deal. The other major headline after Battle In The Valley concerns AEW’s Jack Perry making a surprise debut, attacking Shota Umino and ripping up his AEW contract in the middle of the ring. 

Other notes include Matt Riddle & Jeff Cobb reuniting their “Chosen Bros” tag team, Mustafa Ali debuting in a video package to challenge Hiromu Takahashi, Jon Moxley calling out the IWGP World Champion Tetsuya Naito, and Eddie Kingston being on the receiving end of a beatdown from the Bullet Club War Dogs following his match.

  • Guerrillas Of Destiny (c) defeated BULLET CLUB War Dogs - NJPW Strong Openweight Tag Team Championships
  • Giulia (c) defeated Trish Adora - NJPW Strong Women’s Championship 
  • Matt Riddle & Jeff Cobb defeated TMDK
  • Eddie Kingston (c) vs. Gabe Kidd ended in a draw - AEW Triple Crown 
  • Jon Moxley defeated Shingo Takagi - No Disqualification 
  • Kazuchika Okada defeated Will Ospreay
