A judge has granted former UFC Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez permission to wrestle at AAA's upcoming show in Tempe, Arizona on Saturday, December 3. Velasquez will team with Pagano and Blue Demon Jr. to take on Black Taurus, Sam Adonis, and Gringo Loco at the event, according to ESPN's Marc Raimondi.

Velasquez is currently out on bail after being arrested in February for attempted murder. Velasquez allegedly chased down a truck and attempted to shoot Harry Goularte, who was inside the vehicle, injuring Goularte's stepfather. The incident occurred after Goularte was charged with sexually assaulting a young relative of the former UFC Heavyweight Champion. Velasquez also claimed in a civil suit that his four-year-old son was sexually assaulted by Goularte.

For his AAA return, Velasquez will be able to remove the GPS monitor that is a condition of his bail. He must take and pay for a law enforcement officer on the trip. His house confinement restriction has been temporarily waived between December 1 and December 4 for the event.

Velasquez has competed for AAA twice before, most recently in December 2021 at TripleMania Regia. He also had a brief run in WWE, losing to Brock Lesnar at Crown Jewel 2019.
