The Men's Royal Rumble featured the usual surprises and Kane, Seth Rollins, The Hurricane, Christian and Carlito all returned to WWE.
Carlito's return wasn't a one and done affair, though, as he teamed with Jeff Hardy on last night's episode of Raw against Elias and Jaxson Ryker. Hardy and Carlito displayed good teamwork during the match and they ultimately picked up the win following a Backstabber-Swanton Bomb combination.
If Carlito will make future appearances on Raw remains to be seen, but Mike Johnson of PWInsider reported the former United States Champion may have had a tryout for a WWE Producer role during last night's show.
Carlito's Raw return was his first appearance on WWE's flagship show since April 12, 2010, when he was defeated in a singles match by Evan Bourne. He signed with the company in 2003 and captured the US Title, Intercontinental Championship and WWE Tag Team Championship before he was released in May 2010. He was advertised to return to WWE TV earlier this year as part of Raw Legends Night but he reportedly told the company that he didn't want to travel across the company for a two-minute cameo.
