Carlito Reveals Reaction To WWE Deciding Not To Renew His Contract

WWE recently announced the decision to not renew the contracts of several stars, with Carlito exiting WWE at the conclusion of his deal this month.

The former Intercontinental Champion is officially back on the free agency list, and speaking of his departure on Busted Open Radio, the former Judgment Day member wasn’t too surprised by his exit:

“I wasn’t too surprised or too shocked,” Carlito said about his departure. “I signed for two years, and it actually went better than I thought it would go. The only thing is, I’m a professional, you know what I mean? They could have told me and I would have, you know, ‘Ok, at least let me finish up the story for The Judgment Day, so they can keep on going.’ I think it’s a disrespect to the fans that they just dropped the storylines.”

Carlito returned to WWE in 2021 for the Royal Rumble, and would sign a deal in 2023 after appearing at Backlash in Puerto Rico. Following his exit, Carlito stated that he thinks Triple H wasn’t a fan of the character.
