Cedric Alexander Finally Assigned WWE Brand

He had been a free agent since the WWE Draft.

After a long period in limbo, WWE star Cedric Alexander has officially been assigned to a brand.

On the official WWE roster page, the former Tag Team Champion is now listed as being a member of the SmackDown roster.

Cedric had been a 'free agent' since the 2023 WWE Draft, having previously been a part of Raw. Since the draft, Alexander's presence on television has been sparse.

He wrestled a couple of matches on Raw, the most recent of which was a loss to Bronson Reed on the October 2 episode. Since then he has wrestled two matches on SmackDown, a pair of losses to Dragon Lee (on October 27 and November 10).

He has also worked two non-televised dark matches of late, putting over Karrion Kross.

The 34-year-old signed with WWE in 2016 after a strong showing in the Cruiserweight Classic tournament (particularly in his second round loss to Kota Ibushi).

As well as being a former Raw Tag Team Champion, Alexander had a run with the Cruiserweight Title and won the 24/7 Championship on three occasions.
