Charlotte Flair Added To Raw Women's Title Match At WWE WrestleMania Backlash

Making it a triple threat match

Earlier Monday evening, it was announced that Raw Women's champion Rhea Ripley would defend her title against Asuka at WrestleMania Backlash on May 16.

That match has since been modified.

On Monday's edition of Raw, Charlotte Flair got herself added to the match by convincing Sonya Deville to include her. As a result, the match is now a triple threat.

Flair appeared to be on track to challenge then-champion Asuka for the title at WrestleMania 37, before WWE decided to change course and go with Ripley. After missing WrestleMania, Flair appeared on Raw the following night and attacked both competitors.

Flair previously defeated both women at past WrestleManias. She retained the SmackDown Women's title over Asuka at WrestleMania 34, and won the NXT Women's title from Ripley last year at 36.

The current card for WrestleMania Backlash, taking place Sunday, May 16, at the Yuengling Center in Tampa, is as follows:

* WWE World: Bobby Lashley (c) vs. Drew McIntyre vs. Braun Strowman

* SmackDown Women's: Bianca Belair (c) vs. Bayley

* Raw Women's: Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Asuka vs. Charlotte Flair
