Charlotte Flair Admits There Are A Lot Of Title Runs She Isn't Proud Of

Charlotte Flair admits she 'didn't do anything with' some previous title runs

In an interview with Bleacher Report to promote her upcoming SmackDown Women's Title match with Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania 38 Night One (April 2), Charlotte Flair admitted that there are some title runs that she is not proud of.

The current champ - who has held a variation of the WWE Women's Title on thirteen different occasion (not including NXT) - said:

"There's a lot of title runs I'm not proud of just because I didn't do anything with it, but when you look at it, it's multiple feuds with multiple women that I dropped the title to"

The Queen made the comment as part of a general discussion about the criticism she has faced from some sections of the fanbase in the past for having a perceived monopoly on the title.

For Flair, though she doesn't always understand the criticism she receives, she uses it to fuel her performances.

"I don't think the same criticism always goes toward men being in the title picture. In this business, you want to be the champion. It's not like you wake up and say, 'Today, I don't want to be the champion'. No, you should always want to be the champion. That means you're the hardest worker in the room when you're holding that title. Yes, I don't understand the criticism sometimes, but at the same time, my haters make me that much better".

Charlotte has been SmackDown Women's Champion since October 22, 2021, when she switched titles with Raw's Becky Lynch in a controversial segment on SmackDown.
