Charlotte Flair has explained her decision to show the live crowd at WWE Money In The Bank 2021 the middle finger, explaining that she was 'p*ssed off' by the disrespect shown to her and Rhea Ripley at the event.

Flair and Ripley's match for the Raw Women's Title was marred at the start by 'we want Becky' chants, to which Flair flipped off the audience. The two would go on to have a match-of-the-night candidate, with the live crowd chanting 'this is awesome' by the end.

The Raw Women's Champion has admitted she was immensely frustrated by the chants and felt they were particularly disrespectful to Ripley.

Speaking to Renee Paquette On Oral Sessions, Flair said: "After the match, I'm walking to Gorilla and I'm like, 'Oh, yeah, I gave them the bird. Am I going to get in trouble?'

"They p*ssed me off. It really p*ssed me off. I've got Rhea Ripley. First big pay-per-view and I get it, everyone is excited to have Becky back. I'm excited to have Becky back. You guys went from chanting 'Becky' to 'This is awesome.' If you know what I'm capable of, show the respect up front.

"I'm usually cookie-cutter, black and white, happy Monday, happy Tuesday. In that moment, I felt it and was like, 'let me steal the show with Rhea Ripley because I know she's that good. Don't disrespect her.' I'm used to it and can take the beating."
