Thor: Love and Thunder star Chris Hemsworth has provided an update on the upcoming Hulk Hogan biopic, revealing the movie is "a while away."

Hemsworth told Daily Distraction on ComicBook: "Oh, that film's a while away. It's sort of in the development stage, you know? If it comes to fruition, great, Todd Phillips is brilliant. I haven't ripped any shirts off yet, but you'll be the first to hear about it when I do."

Hemsworth also said to Chris Van Vliet: "Uhhhh, maybe? Todd Phillips is busy doing, I think, Joker 2 I believe, and I've been off doing other films, and it's all in conversations and in development and things like that. A lot of little different things need to come together for it to happen, but I don't have 24-inch pythons. Yet."

It emerged back in 2019 that Hemsworth would portray Hogan in a biopic that would reunite Todd Phillips and Scott Silver, the director and writer of 2019's The Joker. Eric Bischoff, Bradley Cooper, and Michael Sugar will serve as producers on the biopic while Hogan himself will be an advisor.

The biopic will be an origin story for Hogan and chronicle the rise of Hulkamania.
