Chris Jericho has taken exception with a Tweet sent by recent AEW debutant Samuaray Del Sol, in which the former WWE star misspelled the real name of the late Brodie Lee.

As previously noted, the man known as Kalisto in WWE made his AEW debut on the November 3 AEW Dynamite, teaming with AAA star Aerostar to answer FTR's open challenge for the AAA World Tag Team Championships. The duo came up short in their quest to win the Titles.

As AEW Dynamite went off the air, Samuray Del Sol took to social media to reveal he had prayed to Brodie Lee - who sadly passed away in December 2020 - ahead of his first match in AEW.

Del Sol wrote: "Prayed and talked to John (Brodie lee) before my match.. thank you for showing me your home @AEW and giving me the strength and energy I need it today."

However, Del Sol misspelled Lee's real name - Jon - as 'John', something Jericho took exception to and pointed out.

Jericho simply responded on Twitter: "You spelt his name wrong.'

As some fans pushed back on Jericho, Amanda Huber, Lee's wife, showed her support for the former AEW World Champion's stance.

Amanda wrote: "Yeah, not an excuse to spell someone’s name wrong if you’re name dropping."

When another fan asked her about her stance, she added: "I feel like it’s reasonable to expect a level of respect of spelling someone’s name right if you want to name drop them."
