Chris Jericho Files Trademark For New Nickname

Chris Jericho is keeping his new nickname

His name is Chris Jericho and he has magical powers!

Chris Jericho's latest nickname looks set to be used on a long-term basis as the former AEW World Champion filed to trademark 'The Wizard' on May 5 with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Jericho filed the trademark for the following purposes:

'IC 041. US 100 101 107. G & S: Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, live appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, personal appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainment personality; Entertainment services, namely, televised appearances by a professional wrestling and sports entertainment personality; Providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; Providing online interviews featuring a professional wrestling and sports entertainment personality in the field of professional wrestling and sports entertainment for entertainment purposes.'

The Jericho Appreciation Society leader began to call himself 'The Wizard' after he threw a fireball at Eddie Kingston on the April 27 edition of Dynamite. The 51-year-old then made his way to the ring as 'The Wizard' Chris Jericho for his match with Santana last week.

The Wizard doesn't just have magical powers either and he used the power of the courts to file a restraining order against Eddie Kingston following The Mad King's threats on Rampage.
