Chris Jericho On Samoa Joe: 'You Can Always Use A Guy Like Him On Your Roster'

Joe was released by WWE in April

Chris Jericho has seemingly confirmed that All Elite Wrestling would be interested in signing Samoa Joe, saying 'you can always use a guy like him on your roster'.

Joe was one of ten names released by WWE in April following WrestleMania 37, with the former United States champion one of the most surprising departures from Vince McMahon's promotion.

The Samoan Submission Machine has already been linked with a return to IMPACT Wrestling when his 90-day no-compete clause expires, but Jericho has confirmed he is a fan of Joe, suggesting his talents would be suited to what AEW has to offer.

Speaking to TV Insider, Jericho said: "Our roster is so expansive. We do have Dark and Elevation, which are popular shows on YouTube. We have another show about to start on TNT. That’s in the pipeline, but you can’t keep bringing in talent after talent when we are still building the homegrown guys and girls. If it’s the right place for someone to bring in, we’ll do it.

"I’m a huge fan of Samoa Joe. You can always use a guy like him on your roster. A lot of guys might have to take the international route or the independent level until they can be at the level to come to AEW. There are a lot of talented people out there and obviously, AEW is where they want to come to."
