Amidst his absence from All Elite Wrestling, it doesn't appear Chris Jericho will be back in professional wrestling in the near future.
Discussing the cancelled Tim Burton movie Superman Lives, which would have starred Nicolas Cage as the Last Son of Krypton, Jericho revealed on Talk is Jericho that he is working on a movie in March.
"I'm doing a movie in March and what if it gets Superman Lived? You just don't know. You could be on set for six weeks like Eric Stoltz and get fired. You just don't know. It's so hard to get anything made and approved," Jericho said.
Chris Jericho has not wrestled since Dynasty 2025, where he dropped the ROH World Championship to Bandido. He hasn't appeared on AEW TV since the post-Dynasty episode of Dynamite when he told Big Bill and Bryan Keith he would be leaving until they made a change.
Jericho's AEW deal was believed to be up at the end of 2025, but he remains listed on the promotion's roster page. It emerged this week that his AEW contract is believed to have been frozen after the former AEW World Champion took time off following Dynasty.
Jericho has been busy with his outside projects while gone from AEW. He is currently on a Fozzy tour of the United Kingdom that will finish up on February 21 in Wolverhampton, England.
