Chris Jericho Vs. Claudio Castagnoli Announced For ROH Final Battle

For the ROH World title

ROH World champion Chris Jericho will defend his title against the man he won the championship from, Claudio Castagnoli, at Final Battle next month on pay-per-view.

Castagnoli confronted Jericho and the Jericho Appreciation Society during Friday's episode of Rampage, and demanded one more shot at the World title. Jericho initially refused the request, but "Daddy Magic" Matt Menard came up with an idea: if Castagnoli loses to Jericho, he must join the JAS, noting that Castagnoli was once a great "sports entertainer".

Castagnoli accepted the challenge, saying that although he was a great sports entertainer, he's an even better professional wrestler.

Jericho defeated Castagnoli at Grand Slam on September 21 in New York City to win the title. He subsequently pinned Castagnoli in a four way bout at Full Gear on November 19, a match that included fellow challengers Bryan Danielson and Sammy Guevara.

ROH Final Battle takes place on Saturday, December 10 at the College Park Center in suburban Dallas. No other matches have been announced for the pay-per-view yet. It will be the third ROH pay-per-view under Tony Khan's ownership.
