Christian Cage Reacts To Adam Copeland's AEW Debut

Christian Cage on his old buddy Adam Copeland's AEW debut

Only one day after he departed WWE, Adam Copeland made his debut in All Elite Wrestling at WrestleDream, interrupting a post-main event beatdown from Christian Cage, Luchasaurus, and Nick Wayne to Darby Allin and Sting.

While Adam Copeland and Jay Reso are real-life best friends, Christian Cage isn't quite so close with the former Edge as he reiterated during the post-WrestleDream media scrum that his only friend is Luchasaurus.

"I said this at the last scrum, I don't have any friends other than Luchasaurus. Was I surprised to see him? Yes. Did I care? Not really. Doesn't change anything for me, I'm still the face of TNT. I'm still the TNT Champion. I'm still the man to beat in AEW. A few short months ago people were saying this title meant nothing and I've taken it and I've main-evented WrestleDream with it. I made this title. This title in my opinion is more prestigious than the world title, mainly because I carry it. I think my track record speaks for itself and I think you have to give me my flowers now, do you not?" Christian said after being asked about Copeland's debut by Mark Hoke of the Mark Hoke Show

Christian Cage and Adam Copeland look set to remain linked on AEW TV for the foreseeable future. Copeland will face Christian's one and only friend Luchasaurus at AEW Dynamite: Title Tuesday on October 10.
