Christian Cage Will Defend TNT Championship Next Week
Christian Cage will take on Bryan Danielson or Swerve Strickland
It was previously announced that on this coming Tuesday night, “The American Dragon” Bryan Danielson will battle Swerve Strickland in a singles match for the first time ever, with the winner of that match on AEW Dynamite: Title Tuesday getting a shot at the TNT Champion Christian Cage.
During last night’s AEW Collision, it has now been revealed when that eventual title match will take place, and it will be as soon as next week’s AEW Collision episode on October 14th in Toledo, Ohio. Christian Cage will defend his newly won TNT Championship for a second time, after having outlasted Darby Allin at the recent 2023 WrestleDream PPV in the main event of the evening.
Strickland’s allies, Gates of Agony, attacked Danielson following his match with Kyle Fletcher, adding some tension ahead of their clash on Dynamite. As of right now, nothing else has been announced for Collision next week aside from Christian Cage defending the TNT Championship against either Bryan Danielson or Swerve Strickland.
