Triple H Comments On Carlito's WWE Return

WWE Chief Content Officer Paul 'Triple H' Levesque has commented on the return of Carlito. 

The former WWE United States Champion showed up as the surprise partner of the lWo at this past weekend's Fastlane premium live event, helping Santos Escobar and Rey Mysterio to victory over Bobby Lashley and the Street Profits.

Speaking about the return during the post-Fastlane press conference, Levesque said: 

"The return of Carlito tonight, long overdue and very excited for him. As he would say, 'That's cool'. You know, just excited to have him back excited to have him back home, and excited to see what he can what he can do on this run." 

Carlito signed with WWE following his surprise appearance at Backlash (on May 7). The San Juan native received a massive pop when he ran in to assist fellow Puerto Rican Bad Bunny during the rapper's Street Fight win over Damian Priest. 

Recent reports suggested that WWE had yet to figure out creative plans for the 44-year-old. However, it is known that Carlito will be a member of the SmackDown brand going forward.
