Report: WWE Yet To Figure Out Plans For Carlito

Carlito has yet to reappear on WWE TV this Summer

Carlito has been under contract with WWE for much of the summer but the former Intercontinental Champion has yet to resurface on either Monday Night Raw or Friday Night SmackDown.

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, this is simply because WWE have yet to figure out what to do with Carlito.

"He pulled off all his indies, so he must have signed, and they were ready to start. He had a start date. He went. He was there. They couldn't figure out what to do with him. And they still haven't figured out what to do with him," Meltzer said.

It emerged in June that Carlito was pulling out of his independent wrestling bookings, with reports later revealing that WWE planned to bring Carlito in for the July 7 edition of Friday Night SmackDown from Madison Square Garden. That show came and went without Carlito, however, as it was believed his return would have been lost in the shuffle alongside the Bloodline segments that took place on SmackDown that week.

Carlito initially returned to WWE earlier this year at the Backlash pay-per-view in Puerto Rico where he made the save for Bad Bunny during his Street Fight with Damian Priest. Carlito hasn't been a full-time talent in WWE since his release in 2010.
