Shinsuke Nakamura Reveals Why He Turned Down Another Shot At The WWE World Heavyweight Title

Shinsuke Nakamura didn't want a rematch with Seth Rollins on WWE Raw

The programme between Seth Rollins and Shinsuke Nakamura over the WWE World Heavyweight Championship looks set to continue until at least Fastlane.

Seth Rollins called out Nakamura on the September 4 edition of Monday Night Raw and challenged him to a rematch for the top title on the red brand. Surprisingly, though, Nakamura did not accept the offer which led to a brawl between the two competitors.

Nakamura later revealed in a Raw exclusive that he turned down the rematch because he wants to decide when he faces Seth Rollins again.

"Don't tell me what to do. I decide when. I decide how. [I will] break him down more, and then take his title," said Nakamura.

Nakamura and Rollins first faced off for the World Heavyweight Championship at Payback. Nakamura targeted Rollins' injured back throughout the match but Rollins was able to retain after connecting with a Stomp. Nakamura then attacked Rollins after Payback went off the air.

Nakamura has never defeated Rollins in singles action stretching back to their first encounter at Survivor Series 2018.
