Real Reason For FTR's Shock Title Change On AEW Collision

Reason why FTR dropped the AEW World Tag Team Championships on Collision revealed

The latest episode of AEW Collision was the scene of a shock title change, as FTR dropped their AEW World Tag Team Championships to Ricky Starks and Big Bill in a short, one-sided match.

The reason for the unexpected switch was because FTR member Cash Wheeler is currently dealing with an injury. Cash was taken out of the contest early on when Big Bill hit him with a chokeslam through the announce table.

Discussing the situation on Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez said:

"Well, he [Wheeler] is injured, that's the story. The story they told on television was it was at the pay-per-view when Aussie Open ran them together, they sold it like he'd injured his rib there."

Alvarez noted that he was unsure how long FTR would be out of action for.

Dax Harwood fuelled speculation that the team may be departing Tony Khan's promotion when he wrote "What a run. Love you all. Top Guys Out" following the loss. However, he later clarified that FTR weren't going anywhere and that they considered AEW their 'home'.
