Christopher Daniels Forms New Tag Team For NJPW STRONG Tag Team Title Tournament

Christopher Daniels is forming a new tag team.

Karl Fredericks asked The Fallen Angel to team with him in the upcoming NJPW STRONG Openweight Tag Team Title tournament in a short YouTube clip, a request which Daniels accepted.

"Karl, I gotta be honest, man. I mean you put me on the spot in front of the camera, you asked me to be your partner. I mean that's a big commitment, man. After Frankie and I split up, I didn't think I'd ever have another tag partner for the long term. But now that you mention it, all these other tag teams here, guys like the West Coast Wrecking Crew, all these other guys, Team Filthy, all these people, you know what, maybe what they need is a surprise like you and me tagging for the very first time," Daniels said. 

The tag team title tournament is set to get underway at the June 19 STRONG taping at the Vermont Hollywood in Los Angeles, California. The final will then take place one month later at the STRONG taping in Charlotte, North Carolina on July 24. 

Daniels was previously in a tag team with Frankie Kazarian as The Addiction and then SCU but they were forced to disband last year following a loss to The Young Bucks in All Elite Wrestling.
