Christopher Daniels Returns On AEW Dynamite

Daniels is back!

Christopher Daniels hadn't performed in All Elite Wrestling since SCU were forced to disband in May of 2021 but The Fallen Angel made his return on Wednesday's episode of Dynamite.

After Tony Khan announced he was now the owner of Ring Of Honor, the AEW President revealed the first match of the night would be Bryan Danielson vs. Christopher Daniels, two men who were in the main event of ROH's first show 'The Era Of Honor Begins.'

Danielson and Daniels started the match with a handshake, part of the Code of Honor, before they had a very good technical wrestling contest.

Daniels ultimately couldn't defeat The American Dragon in his return match, though, and Danielson picked up the win with a Triangle Choke.

The 51-year-old tweeted following the match: "If you told me in May when I walked out the door that I wouldn't wrestle here again for ten months, I wouldn't have believed it. If you told me there'd be this much support for my return, I couldn't have imagined it. Thank you all. I'M BACK."

While this was Daniels' first AEW match in months, he has been active outside of the promotion, performing for New Japan Pro-Wrestling and DEFY, where he is the Interim DEFY World Champion. The Fallen Angel also had a brief return to IMPACT in September of 2021.
