Some colours in professional wrestling are synonymous with particular acts. Pink and black with Bret Hart and The Hart Foundation, green with D-Generation X or black and white with The nWo.
Taz also became synonymous with orange and black during his in-ring career and that continued when he started Team Taz in All Elite Wrestling.
With this in mind, Taz has seemingly taken issue with Ruby Soho's new AEW merchandise of a black shirt with an orange-haired Ruby singing on the front.
Replying to ShopAEW's tweet about the merch, Taz wrote: "I thought there was a new member to #TeamTaz - but I just looked, I never got the memo...because there wasn't a memo."
He then commented further on the situation, replying to a fan with: "It's really simple, it's branding. What I did with orange & black was no different than what Bret Hart did with pink & black, or did DX did with green & black or Dark Order does with purple & black. I feel (or felt) respect other peoples colors while in the same company. IMO."
If AEW will look to alter Soho's merch remains to be seen.
