Dustin Rhodes has revealed he is set to undergo double knee replacement surgery, with the All Elite Wrestling star set for an extended spell on the sidelines.

Rhodes was written off AEW TV with a TNT Championship loss to Kyle Fletcher on July 31, with it confirmed ‘The Natural’ was set to be out of action until 2026 due to needing double knee surgery. In an update on X/Twitter, Rhodes has confirmed he will instead be undergoing double knee replacement surgery due to the severity of his condition:

“Knees are both destroyed. I have to go under the knife August 21st. They can’t actually fix the damage so we are getting 2 knee Replacements. Damn! #KeepSteppin By the way…….This Is NOT THE END.”

Rhodes is currently one half of the Ring of Honor World Tag Team Champions alongside Sons of Texas partner Sammy Guevara, and is one third of the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Champions with The Von Erichs. ROH are yet to announce what will happen to both sets of titles, and are set to run Philadelphia’s 2300 Arena on August 29 for Death Before Dishonor.
