A college athlete with close ties to the Donald Trump administration may end up being a WWE wrestler in the near future.

WWE held tryouts on Thursday, July 31 in New Jersey ahead of SummerSlam from MetLife Stadium. The likes of Will Kroos, Rayne Leverkusen, LJ Cleary, Meghan Walker, Ben Bishop, Goldenboy Santos, Elijah Blum, Omari, CBL, Zoe Sager, Mike Cunningham, Anita Vaughan, CJ Felder, and Ellen Viking all worked the tryouts.

In addition to independent wrestlers, however, a number of college athletes attended the tryouts, including Boston College softball player Zoe Hines. The BCU senior is the niece of Cheryl Hines, who is married to Robert F. Kennedy Jr, the current United States Secretary of Health and Human Services.

Hines commented on her WWE tryout, writing: "Grateful for the opportunity, the experience, and the people. Honored to represent @wwe at the 2025 SummerSlam Tryout."

Hines' tryout took place on the same day that WWE Chief Content Officer Paul "Triple H" Levesque visited the White House to stand with Donald Trump for the signing of an executive order to revive the Presidential Fitness Test and expand the President's Council on Sports, Fitness & Nutrition. Triple H and Stephanie McMahon met with RFK Jr. earlier this year to discuss the council.
