CM Punk Reportedly Sells Over 100,000 T-Shirts Since AEW Debut

Punk continues to be a merch mover

It had previously been reported that sales of CM Punk's first ever AEW shirt obliterated the previous 24-hour record on Pro Wrestling Tees, which is believable considering how PW Tees (and Shop AEW) continuously crashed after Punk's debut. Additionally, AEW had apparently bought up every blank ringer tee they could so that they could fulfill the large number of Punk t-shirt orders.

According to AEW President Tony Khan, Punk t-shirt sales have already cleared six digits in the four weeks since his debut.

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Khan spoke of the needle-moving that Punk has done since debuting with the company in August.

"What he's done for our attendance, our record TV ratings, our record PPV buys," Khan began. "We set a live attendance mark in Chicago. We've set all kinds of new merchandising records. We've sold over 100,000 CM Punk shirts. We've sold thousands and thousands and thousands of ice-cream bars since he started giving those away. He's absolutely changed our business, and that was the expectation when he came in."

AEW All Out, the site of Punk's first match in seven and a half years, is reportedly the first non-WWE pay-per-view to clear 200,000 pay-per-view buys since 1999.
