After leaving WWE in 2014, CM Punk embarked on several outside projects, and one of them included acting. Over the last decade, Punk has appeared in both TV shows and movies including Girl On The Third Floor and Heels.

Per The Hollywood Reporter, it has been announced that CM Punk has landed a brand new movie role in an upcoming indie horror, Night Prowler, directed by Ryan Prows. Planned for a 2025 release, Punk will join the cast alongside Justin Long, Jermaine Fowler, RJ Cyler, YG, Freddie Gibbs, Nicki Michaeux, Flying Lotus, Jon Oswald, and Dermot Mulroney. It is stated that Punk will have a ‘key role’ in the movie.

The Hollywood Reporter provided a description for the role that CM Punk would be playing in the film, describing him as ‘the sergeants burly right-hand man.’

Following his Hell In A Cell match at Bad Blood, CM Punk revealed that he would be taking some time off from WWE programming, with it being known that he wouldn’t be working the upcoming Crown Jewel premium live event. His new role may explain his absence, if of course filming begins soon. Punk is expected back on WWE programming by next month, with a reported planned match with Gunther at Survivor Series.
