CMLL & STARDOM To Be Involved With AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door 2024

CMLL & STARDOM set for Forbidden Door 2024

The 2024 edition of Forbidden Door will feature even more promotions.

Dave Meltzer has reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that Forbidden Door will feature wrestlers from CMLL and STARDOM in 2024. No official date has been announced for the event but New York City's Arthur Ashe Stadium is reportedly in line to hold the event at some point in June.

Meltzer also noted that STARDOM wrestlers will be in action at ROH Supercard of Honor on April 5.

"There will be STARDOM and CMLL wrestlers on the Forbidden Door show when they do that show in June. So he [Taro Okada] came in and that kind of explains, again, when Tony Khan tweeted those tweets about Rossy Ogawa. It was definite loyalty to STARDOM. I believe on the April 5 Ring of Honor pay-per-view a couple of STARDOM wrestlers are going to be on that show. I think AZM is going to be on that show and maybe Mina Shirakawa," Meltzer said.

STARDOM President Taro Okada met with Tony Khan ahead of AEW Big Business in Boston on March 13. STARDOM is owned by Bushiroad, the parent company of New Japan Pro-Wrestling who already have a working relationship with AEW.

CMLL and AEW have worked together since 2023 and the likes of Mistico, Hechicero, Mascara Dorada, and Volador Jr. have been featured on AEW programming. Blackpool Combat Club will head to Arena Mexico for a match against Mistico, Volador Jr., Blue Panther, and Ultimo Guerrero at Homenaje a Dos Leyendas on March 29.
