Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso are the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions at Fastlane!
Cody Rhodes has finished a story!
The American Nightmare has captured gold for the first time since he returned to WWE at WrestleMania 38, winning the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships with Jey Uso at Fastlane 2023.
Rhodes and Uso challenged Judgment Day's Finn Balor and Damian Priest for the titles in the opening contest of Fastlane and after plenty of Judgment Day dominance and interference from Dominik Mysterio, Rhea Ripley, and JD McDonagh, the momentum was turned after McDonagh accidentally hit Damian Priest with the Money in the Bank briefcase. This allowed Cody to hit Priest with a Cross Rhodes on the announce table.
This left Finn Balor isolated and the babyfaces combined for a 1D-Cody Cutter before Rhodes followed up with a Cross Rhodes to Balor to crown new Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions.
Finn Balor and Damian Priest were only Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions for 35 days, having won the gold from Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn at Payback.
Cody Rhodes is now a four-time WWE Tag Team Champion, while Jey Uso is a nine-time WWE Tag Team Champion.
