Cody Rhodes Clarifies AEW ‘Special’ Announcement
The American Nightmare speaks on this Friday’s Dynamite
Earlier this week AEW announced that Cody Rhodes and Tony Schiavone would be making a special announcement on this Friday’s edition of AEW Dynamite.
Speculation as to the nature of the announcement was rife online, but now Cody Rhodes himself has come out and told AEW fans to temper their expectations.
Taking to Twitter Rhodes said: “Jeff is a wild man with these tweets ha I’d classify this more as a lil’ match announcement - excited!”
Recently Rhodes has been feuding with QT Marshall’s Factory, with a win over hot prospect Anthony Ogogo at AEW Double or Nothing on May 30, then a loss to Marshall and Ogogo in tag action on the last episode of Dynamite.
With Dynamite running on Fridays and Saturdays throughout June then it could be a case of Rhodes trying to drum up some more publicity for the show whilst not airing in its usual Wednesday time slot, or possibly announcing the next chapter of his feud with The Factory. Whatever it is, it’ll be airing on Friday on AEW Dynamite.
