Darby Allin: I’m Happy To Repay The Favour To Ethan Page In AEW
Allin and All Ego have seemingly been warring for a very long time
AEW’s Darby Allin has had a massive thorn in his side for the majority of his career - Ethan Page. The two battled all across the independent scene, most notably in Evolve, and have recently been kicking lumps out of one another in AEW.
But Allin has admitted that his rivalry with Page really helped both men out, saying to The Wrestling Perspective podcast:
"It sounds like a cliché, but I think it's a guy like Ethan Page. Because we were - I was a random kid from a seminar and I got picked to wrestle him and get my ass kicked for three minutes in a squash match. But the fact that he took the time to build a story out of that, and then we've been feuding ever since, you know, it means a lot.
“With him, I felt like, 'Okay, this is a big deal' because it's hard to have people like sometimes... like some people that are on the big parts of the indies, to really take the time out and kind of cut a promo on some random kid from the seminar and the fact that he did that, you know, and we build something out of that meant a lot to me. So now it's like, in a weird way, I'm like repaying the favour. On the AEW scale of just, I'm going to make this full [circle] like he kind of did on the independents with me. So, you know, and if someone has to break it out while they get there, we'll cross that bridge."
