Cody Rhodes Comments On The Elite's New AEW Contracts
Cody Rhodes has nice things to say about The Elite re-signing with AEW
It was revealed earlier this week that the Young Bucks, Kenny Omega, and Adam Page of The Elite had signed multi-year big money deals with AEW, extending their stay with the promotion they helped to create. Former member of The Elite and fellow AEW original Cody Rhodes was recently asked on Haus of Wrestling about The Elite re-signing with AEW, and he had nothing but positives to share.
“I’m very happy when any wrestler or superstar gets paid. I don’t want to sound carny or hacky but to know that your peers and people who take the bumps and go through all this and have that type of the physical struggle that comes with this gig, to know they’re getting paid is really exciting. I am over the moon that that group did what they did because, as Nick Jackson said, I believe they’ve made some 'NBA money' off of it.”
Rhodes went on to say that he was happy for the group, and that he understands that whilst it would be nice to be alongside them, the schedules in both companies are different and WWE isn’t a perfect fit for everyone.
