Cody Rhodes Looking To Change Up Current WWE Character

Is The American Nightmare missing something?

Cody Rhodes is currently riding high as Undisputed WWE Champion and is set to headline his third premium live event in a row when he clashes with United States Champion Logan Paul at King & Queen of the Ring this Saturday.

Despite his incredible success, The American Nightmare has considered changing up his act.

During a recent appearance on Busted Open Radio, show co-host Mark Henry told Rhodes that he should embrace his own greatness, rather than attributing some of it to luck.

This speech prompted Cody to speak about how he misses having someone like Arn Anderson (who managed him in AEW) by his side and ponder whether he should bring a 'classic' wrestling manager into the mix.

"One of the reasons I liked having Arn Anderson around me was the same reason I would have loved to have my dad around me. Because I'll tell you I'm lucky, and I'll tell you how hard I work, and I'll tell you how grateful I am. And that is true. But it was nice to have a guy over my shoulder say what you just said. Say, 'We're not apologising for greatness. Mediocrity loves company and we're not joining that company'. Like — it was nice to have that voice in your ear.

"It was something I actually missed when Logan and I were doing this contract signing, to see him flanked by so many people. I don't know, maybe I'm looking for the classic wrestling manager to join me on this title reign. And I don't know who that is or what that is, but it just felt like I wouldn't mind someone to holler the stuff that you just did," he said.

Though WWE originally hinted that Cody versus Logan would be title versus title, that is not the case. A recent report outlined the reason why WWE went this route on TV.
