Could WWE's plans for Giulia have already been derailed?

Ahead of Giulia starting full-time with WWE later this year, the former STARDOM star is helping to establish Rossy Ogawa's new Marigold promotion as one of the company's top stars. Giulia was in action at Marigold's debut event on May 20, teaming with Utami Hayashishita in a loss to Bozilla and Sareee.

Marigold have since announced that Giulia fractured her right wrist in the match and she has been pulled from all upcoming Marigold shows for the time being.

"Giulia's right wrist was injured in yesterday's inaugural match. Today, her doctor examined her and diagnosed her with a fracture. Unfortunately she will miss the Hana Kimura show on the 23rd, and upcoming shows for the time being. We apologize and thank you for understanding," Marigold tweeted.

Giulia appeared in the crowd at WWE NXT Stand & Deliver earlier this year and the former NJPW STRONG Women's Champion is expected to report to the WWE Performance Center in late June/early July.

The preliminary plan was for Giulia to challenge for one of NXT's women's titles at Heatwave on July 7 but those plans may now need to be scrapped due to Giulia being out of action indefinitely.
