Cody Rhodes has announced that he will end his pro wrestling career as part of WWE after the 41-year-old re-signed with the company.

Rhodes revealed on Flagrant that he had signed a new deal with WWE, saying: "I just re-signed with WWE so I'll end my wrestling career with WWE."

The exact terms and length of Cody's new WWE contract are unknown. Rhodes made his return to WWE at 2022's WrestleMania 38 and he confirmed in March 2024 that he had put pen to paper on a contract extension with the organisation.

Rhodes was seemingly happy with the wages in his new WWE deal, though, as he added: "The money in wrestling and sports entertainment is very good. I feel like if you were my dad or any of the wrestlers we talked about on that list, you'd be shocked... now the contracts are guaranteed."

Since his return in 2022, Cody Rhodes has been one of WWE's top babyfaces and he is a three-time WWE Champion, having first won the belt from Roman Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania XL. Rhodes lost the title to John Cena at WrestleMania 41 and regained the WWE Championship at SummerSlam 2025.

Rhodes' second reign came to an end in January 2026 following a Steel Cage Match loss to Drew McIntyre, but Cody would win the belt for a third time on the March 6 edition of SmackDown. After 113 days, Rhodes dropped the title to Sami Zayn at Night of Champions.
