Cody Rhodes Reacts To Not Being Included In WWE 2K22

Cody Rhodes speaks out about not being in WWE 2K22

After a hiatus, the WWE 2K franchise returned earlier this year with the release of WWE 2K22 in March. The video game ultimately arrived too early for Cody Rhodes to be included in the title, though, and the addition of The American Nightmare as a playable character was turned down by 2K after WWE asked the question

Rhodes has since addressed his omission from WWE 2K22, writing: "I don't know the talented folks at @WWEgames - but I'm a pretty decent gambler and I would bet they're working very hard on something special for pro wrestling fans."

Rhodes hasn't been a part of a WWE video game for several years, having been granted his release by Vince McMahon's company back in 2016. The American Nightmare then went on to found All Elite Wrestling before returning to WWE at WrestleMania 38.

He is currently locked in a feud with Seth Rollins and they will have their third match at the June 5 Hell In A Cell pay-per-view.
