Cody Rhodes To Be Involved With WWE NXT Great American Bash

The Great American Bash has special meaning to the Rhodes family

Cody Rhodes is a busy man these days.

Between performing on Raw and non-televised live events, completing media duties ahead of the release of his Peacock documentary and getting ready for his grudge match with Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam, The American Nightmare's schedule is pretty packed.

However, Cody has still found the time to do something for the upcoming NXT Great American Bash show - even if it is just a voiceover.

Speaking with the SI Media podcast, Rhodes revealed that he will be lending his voice to this Sunday's production.

"I have something going on every hour. Whether you're doing some media, whether you're doing stuff in pre-tapes. I don't know when this will air, but I don't think anyone will be mad. I'm gonna do something for NXT Great American Bash here. I think maybe it's just a voiceover but, getting ready to do that," he said.

The Great American Bash name and concept was created by Cody's father Dusty Rhodes. Originally devised as a series of events throughout July and August for Jim Crockett Promotions, it eventually became a standalone pay-per-view for WCW. WWE revived the name in the mid-2000s and it has been an NXT event since 2020.
