Report: Update On AEW Plans For Kota Ibushi

Latest on Kota Ibushi's AEW plans

After months of rumours and speculation, Kota Ibushi finally made his All Elite Wrestling debut on July 19 as he was part of The Golden Elite against Blackpool Combat Club, Konosuke Takeshita, and PAC for the promotion's third-ever Blood & Guts Match.

The Golden Elite would ultimately pick up the win after Jon Moxley quit while The Elite were choking Wheeler Yuta. Ibushi then attracted attention online following the match, taking a back bump on a pile of thumbtacks.

Kenny Omega teased following the match that Ibushi wasn't done with All Elite Wrestling but no future appearances have been announced for the former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion as of yet. Dave Meltzer has reported on Wrestling Observer Radio, though, that Ibushi is under the impression he will be going to All In. The show will be AEW's UK debut and is set to take place at London's Wembley Stadium on August 27.

Ibushi has only recently returned to pro wrestling after 18 months out of action with a serious shoulder injury. Blood & Guts was only his third match back, having made his in-ring return over WrestleMania 39 weekend for Game Changer Wrestling.
