Cody Rhodes Undergoes Successful Surgery On Torn Pectoral

The American Nightmare is on the mend

WWE star Cody Rhodes has underwent successful surgery to repair his torn pectoral tendon.

Cody's wide Brandi Rhodes took to Twitter to inform fans of the news, writing "The doctor just repaired Cody's torn pectoral tendon which was torn completely off the bone. Successful surgery. He is on the road to recovery now".

The American Nightmare suffered a partial tear during a brawl with Seth Rollins on the May 30 episode of Raw and subsequently suffered a full tear while weight training in the days after.

Despite the gruesome nature of the injury, Cody performed as scheduled at Hell in a Cell this past Sunday, where he beat Rollins inside the Cell in a long and gruelling match.

There is no timetable for Cody's return to in-ring action, but he is expected to be out for at least several months.
