Conflicting Reports On Cody Rhodes New WWE Deal
It is unclear whether or not Cody Rhodes has signed a new deal with WWE yet
It emerged over this weekend that re-signing Cody Rhodes to a new deal was a top priority for TKO, and that WWE and Rhodes were engaged with contract talks. However, there has been some conflicting report over how far along a new deal is.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer has reported that Cody Rhodes signed a new WWE contract as far back as October, noting that this was a similar story to that of Charlotte Flair’s new deal - something that was signed some time back but is only coming to the light now. Fightful Select has given a different report, stating that whilst an offer was presented back in October, it has not been signed as of yet, with Rhodes’ camp detailing some confusion.
The deal is expected to be signed, but the report states that the pen hasn’t been put to paper as of yet. Whether or not Rhodes has signed a deal yet, the expectation is that he will remain in WWE for several years to come. We will likely learn more details surrounding his new deal in the coming weeks.
