Report: Count-Out Finish During The Six-Woman Tag Team Match On WWE Raw Was A Botch

Another count-out botch on WWE Raw

While Shayna Baszler and Charlotte Flair were initially scheduled to face off in singles action on last night's Raw, the match was quickly changed to a six-woman tag team match as The Queen teamed with Mandy Rose and Dana Brooke against Baszler, Nia Jax and Lacey Evans.

Both teams fought back and forth for four minutes and Baszler and Flair ended up brawling on the outside. The match then abruptly ended as Baszler failed to get back in the ring by the 10 count and the referee called for the bell. This resulted in Adam Pearce being sent to the ring and the match was restarted.

According to PWInsider's Mike Johnson, Pearce restarting the match was improvised as Baszler was supposed to make it back into the ring before the 10 count. She was legitimately counted out by the official, though, which is why the match had to be restarted.

Past reports have noted there has been a "renewed push" for WWE referees to call matches like they are a shoot and officials have been told to enforce the rules as if they are legitimate.
