Dakota Kai & IYO SKY Advance To WWE Women's Tag Team Title Tournament Final

One-half of the final has been set

One team has advanced to the final of the Women's Tag Team Title Tournament.

Dakota Kai and IYO SKY faced off with Alexa Bliss and Asuka on Monday's Raw and after 18 minutes, the heel team picked up the win after SKY managed to roll up Asuka. This came after Asuka had applied the Asuka Lock to Dakota Kai but the two-time NXT Women's Tag Team Champion was not the legal competitor which allowed SKY to sneak in and score the pinfall.

SKY and Kai will face the winners of Aliyah and Raquel Gonzalez vs. the winner of a Second Chance Fatal 4-Way on Friday's episode of SmackDown. Toxic Attraction's Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne were originally set to be in action in the semifinals but they were pulled from the tournament due to injuries to Dolin.

A tournament to crown new Women's Tag Team Champions was announced after Sasha Banks and Naomi walked out of Monday Night Raw back in May and were indefinitely suspended. WWE appeared to have forgotten about the titles but the tournament eventually got underway a couple of weeks ago.
